Saffron Walden Arts Trust was delighted to present Town Mayor David Watson with a cheque for £467 for his chosen charities, Riding for the Disabled and Huntington’s Disease Association. The money was raised through a very successful Arts & Crafts Fair held at the Town Hall on 24 and 25 November. The high-quality work on display and for sale included fine art, photography, ceramics, cards, jewellery, wood-turning, and textile art, and several of the stallholders gave practical demonstrations of their skills.
Organiser Jill Leech said, “the Saffron Walden area has a wealth of talented artists and craftspeople. The fair is a wonderful way for them to showcase their work, and a great way of raising money for two good causes.”
